Happy New Year!
Our celebration started in evening where we have our evening worship. It is good to give thanks to the Lord for everything that he has done to us. Our evening worship was packed with the performance of songs and praises from the children. They were very happy to share their memory verses and stories from the Bible. Since I was not feeling well I went to bed early to have more energy for 2nd part of the celebration at midnight. Davao City is very strict with fire crackers and so we opt for tarutot, loud cheers from around the neighborhood, vehicles and motorbikes are dragging some cans to make noise.
What does new year means to me?
To me New Year means a new beginning to me. I would like to consider it as another starting point to achieve dreams and face new challenges, and above all another year to enjoy God’s love. The year 2012 was a great challenge to me and my family. We needed to adjust to the new work and environment. But we learned something that God will always get you through if you will always hold His hand. He got us through 2012 and I am sure he will lead us through 2013.
New Years Resolution.
1. Create a close relationship with my Lord. Sometimes the busyness of work becomes a barrier in our relationship to our Savior. I should take the time to have a personal time with the Lord.
2. Balance Work and Life. Balancing work and life are most essential to avoid stress.
3. Travel More. Sometimes it is refreshing to schedule a family trip to enjoy God’s nature and poster good relationship with each other.
I still have a lot of things to change for the coming year but I will keep it to myself as my wife says “I prefer seeing you doing it than talking about it.”
