Colored Ball Relay
After three months of attending kindergarten my daughter attended her first sports festival. This festival is unique because the children and parents should work together to compete with other children and their parents too. We have to participate 8 different games and we enjoyed a lot. Some games we won and some we lost but it didn’t matter to us because we had a great time together.
There were close to 1000 children with their parents who join the festival. The sports festival started with the opening ceremony with different performance of the teachers and students.
The games followed the opening ceremony. It was divided into different categories. There were games for 5-6 years old and 3-4 years old. Each category has 8 games and were all facilitated by the teachers and teachers’ assistants. The games are meant to show how the children improve their ability to run, balance, carry things, and many others while they are studying at school. The event lasted for 3 hours. At the festival, every student that completed the 8 games, received their prize from the school. After the event we went to have lunch together at a nearby restaurant and had a good meal.
The idea of involving the parents to participate and play together with their children is very good. It helps foster a closer relationship not only to parents and children but also to the teachers. I am looking forward to the Sports Festival next year.
