Daily Devotion is like breakfast to a spiritual life.
Just this morning my daughter handed a new book given to her by Pastor Agapito M. Orendain. It is a devotional book for the youth entitled “#PowerUp.”
I wanted to share the words from the back cover of the book:
Before you check your newsfeed, update your status, post a selfie, or hit the road to school or to work, it’s time to boost your energy reserves!
Charge up with #PowerUp.
Specifically written for young Adventist Christians, this devotional book offers 366 stories from 36 authors who have experienced the thrill and power of plugging into the Bible.
Read about modern parables and life lessons drawn from nature, everyday experiences, miraculous answers to prayer, real relationships, thorny trials, and, of course, The Good Book.
Slow down before you charge up, not from the power banks or wall sockets, but from Jesus-our eternal Source of power.
I know some of the authors and their lives have inspired me in many ways. This book is published at Philippine Publishing House and it is available at any Adventist Books Store nation wide. I am pleading for the youth to have this book as your daily devotional reading. It is an awesome, inspiring book that would pump you up with energy not from any other source but from Jesus alone.
It costs below 1 peso a day, which cost almost nothing. Why not invest a peso a day to be with God, avail this book while it is still available. Visit your Adventist Book Store nation-wide or better contact me if you are around Butuan City.
