I received an invitation to like a page this morning from uncle Mizraim. To my surprise it is the page of the Adventist World President Pastor Ted Wilson. The announcement was published at Adventist Review Online – that the president is joining Facebook and Twitter.
I want to better communicate to church members some of the exciting activities of the church, such as Revival and Reformation, Mission to the Cities, Comprehensive Health Ministry, and Total Member Involvement,” Wilson told the Adventist Review.
I think it is a good idea that he is giving time to communicate those people who are in the social media. As of now he has 11,836 likes on his Facebook page and 1,717 followers on his twitter account @pastortedwilson.
He further said,
It is important to use social media to not only share important church information, but also to reach out to the millions using social media and thus pointing them to Christ, His Word, His righteousness, His sanctuary service, His saving power in the great controversy, His three angels’ messages, His health message, His last-day mission to the world, and His soon second coming,” Wilson said.
On his Facebook page he quote Romans 12:6 “Having then Gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them.” Why not? Let’s take advantage of the social media for spreading the gospel message of salvation.
